New Delhi: Russian firm Yota Devices may launch the YotaPhone 2 or YotaPhone (2014) on December 3 in London. The handset will be unveiled at an invite-only event. The first YotaPhone smartphone in the Indian market for Rs. 23,499 last month.
The firm took to Twitter to announce that, "#YotaPhone2 will be presented December 3! We will celebrate with a by-invitation only event in London - stay tuned!."
Unveiled at MWC 2014, the YotaPhone 2 is said be more 'intuitive and interactive' than the first generation, with new hardware and software features. It is also significantly faster, featuring a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The always-on E-Ink display is larger in comparison to its predecessor.
YotaPhone 2 features a full-HD 5-inch AMOLED front display, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The device offers 32GB of built-in storage, offers an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2550mAh battery. The YotaPhone (2014) is a Nano-SIM device, and features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 3.0, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS and Glonass, apart from NFC connectivity.
