New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi will put a limited quantity of its budget smartphone, the Redmi 1S, on sale on Flipkart.com on December 8.
So unlike the usual Flipkart flash sale route this time around users can buy the Redmi 1S just like any other product. However, it is unclear how many units of the phone will be put on sale, but reports indicate around 30-32,000 units.
The phone will go on sale at 6AM on the day, so make sure you get to Flipkart website or app in time to get it. It is likely to be the last sale for Redmi 1S in the country, and the company will only sell Redmi Note in the country until Mi 4 arrives.
Xiaomi Redmi 1S features dual-SIM support, 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone also packs 2000 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front shooter, and Android 4.3-based MIUI v5. The handset comes at a cost of Rs 5,999.
