New Delhi: The 4G variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note phablet will be officially available exclusively via Flipkart on December 30. The first flash sale on Tuesday for the Redmi Note 4G will kick off at 2pm IST on Flipkart for registered users. The device comes with an aggressive pricing of Rs 9,999.

The Flipkart's Mi page notes that every user will have to register each time for separate sales and due to the great demand of Xiaomi handsets, it will limit orders to one phone per registered email ID per sale.

Xiaomi had to discontinue the sale of the 3G version of Redmi Note due to a ruling of the Delhi High Court banning the Chinese manufacturer from selling MediaTek powered smartphones in India due to a patent issue with Ericsson.

The 4G version of Redmi Note is a single-SIM handset featuring a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor, which has a superior graphics rendering capability in addition to 4G LTE support. The earlier 3G model of Redmi Note had MediaTek octa-core processor that lagged while playing high-quality videos and graphics heavy games.

The handset comes with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front camera for clear selfies. Inbuilt storage includes 8GB with microSD card expansion (up to 64GB), and a 3,100mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Redmi Note 4G runs on Android 4.4 optimised with MIUI version 5 on top, upgradable to MIUI v6 early next year.

As of now, Xiaomi has not commented on the number of units that will go on sales but, going by the trends, Xiaomi will stock at least 50,000 units of Redmi Note for the upcoming sale.
