Weekly smartphone launches: Micromax Canvas turbo, BlackBerry Z30 (October 28)

New Delhi: Micromax recently launches its first smartphone with full-HD display, the Canvas Turbo, at Rs. 19,990. This is clearly an attempt to cash in on its highly successful Canvas series smartphones. Similarly, BlackBerry launched its 5-inch phablet in India, Sony, on the other hand, launched a 3-in-1 device that works as a headphone, music player and speaker. Here is a list of the gadgets launched in India this week.Micromax Canvas Turbo A250Canvas Turbo A250 is the first fullHD smartphone from Micromax. The phone has full aluminum casing and a 5-inch screen that offers 360-degree viewing angle. Canvas Turbo runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM.Canvas Turbo features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The camera offer features like 360-degree panorama, Cinemagraph and Object Eraser.The phone comes packed with a 2000 mAh battery. The device comes preloaded with apps like BBM, Hike and Spuul among others. Canvas Turbo also has 'Blow to Unlock' feature that Micromax first introduced in its Canvas 4 handset. The connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi.Blackberry Z30Z30, which feature BlackBerry's latest version of its BB 10 operating system, has a 8 mega pixel rear camera with a 1.7 GHz processor.The 5-inch device with Super AMOLED display and a 1.7 GHz processor with quad-core graphics comes with stereo speakers as well as its latest technology, BlackBerry Natural Sound, which promises a unique audio experience. This is biggest phone from the BlackBerry stable so far.The touchphone has a 2 GB RAM and has an internal memory of 16 GB, which can be expanded to to 64 GB. It has an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing camera.Huawei Ascend P6The Ascend P6 has a super-slim, squared-off body, flat surfaces and metallic rim – making it look like iPhone 5. It even comes with its own pre-packed 'bumper.' The rear of the phone is matte as opposed to the glossy fascia and makes for a relatively non-slip grip. Ascend P6 features a 4.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Huawei's own K3V2 chipset, clocked at 1.5GHz.The Ascend P6 sports a 8 megapixel rear camera capable of recording 1080p HD videos and a 5 megapixel camera in the front. Ascend P6 is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2.2 operating system. It has 2GB RAM and offers 8GB of in-built storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone is available in Black and White colours. The phone has Huawei's Emotion user interface on top.Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1Samasung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 10.1-inch WQXGA Super clear LCD display with 2560×1600 pixels resolution. It also has a 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor variant with 3GB of RAM. The tablet will be offered in 3G and Wi-Fi variants along with 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to up to 64GB using a microSD card.The tab runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung TouchWiz UI and Samsung's Knox mobile security feature, which is the company's enterprise and consumer security service. Other features include a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash, a 2-megapixel front camera, and an 8,220mAh battery.ZTE Open Firefox PhoneThe ZTE Open comes with a 3.5-inch screen with HVGA display. The smartphones is powered by a Cortex A5 processor, which is clocked at 1GHz. It has 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of internal storage enhanced with a 4GB microSD card that comes as part of the package. It sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, A-GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities. The ZTE Open packs in a 1,200mAh battery. Its connectivity options include 3G, GPRS and EDGE. It also comes with support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. The ZTE Open also comes with GPS and A-GPS support. LG G Pro LiteLG silently launched its new smartphone in India - LG G Pro Lite. It is a dual SIM phone and has a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.Micromax Canvas Magnus A117The Micromax Canvas Magnus has a 5-inch IPS display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) along with 1GB of RAM.The Canvas Magnus is a dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and full-HD video recording support, apart from a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs a 2000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, and 3G. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
