New Delhi, June 28: Videocon Mobiles has launched a new HD smartphone in the market titled A55HD for Rs 13,499. The phone comes with a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels, offering a pixel density of 295ppi. Videocon has adopted one-glass solution (OGS) technology for the display of this smartphone.
The smartphone comes with 4GB internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB with microSD card. It packs in 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM.
For images, there is an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and a 3.2-megapixel front shooter. The rear camera of the smartphone is also capable of shooting up to 40 continuous shots in the burst mode.
Videocon A55HD is a dual-SIM smartphone with dual standby. It runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a beefy 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS/A-GPS. Videocon A55HD also comes with 'Flip To Silent' and 'Face Detection' feature.
The company is offering free protective pouch along with this smartphone.
In the highly competitive affordable smartphone market, the Videocon A55HD competes against the likes of Lava Iris 504Q launched recently, Micromax Canvas 2 HD and others.
