New Delhi: Nokia has finally launched its first Windows Phone phablet in India, the Lumia 1520, at a 'best buy price' of Rs. 46,999. The phone will be available in four colours - yellow, black, red, and white.
Lumia 1520 is a high-end phablet and the first Windows Phone device to come with a 6-inch full HD display and a quad-core processor.
The device comes with a 6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD screen, offering a pixel density of 367ppi, equipped with Nokia's ClearBlack and super-sensitive technologies. While the former technology lets users view the screen better when outdoors, and the latter means you can use it with your gloves on.
The Lumia 1520 sports a 20MP PureView camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset. It's the same processor as can be found in the Galaxy Note 3 and the Google Nexus 5.
The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, a 3,400mAh battery, NFC and wireless charging. The phone is likely to cost above Rs 45,000.
The 1520 fits firmly in the hand, because of its 8.7mm thickness. Compared to other Lumia phones like the Nokia Lumia 1020 or the Nokia Lumia 925, it's proportionally flatter.
The 1520 also comes with a new Nokia Beamer app which lets users to share content to any HTML5 enabled device. Users can share contents like images, documents, location details and even camera viewfinder from the Lumia 1520 to any compatible screen through social media, emails as well as SMS.
