New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Gionee is striving hard to become a popular name among global mobile buyers. The latest proof is its Elife E7, a 5.5-inch 1080p Android phablet that features: the 2.5GHz flavor of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 chip (MSM8974AC) and the most sensitive 16-megapixel camera.
The phablet has been launched in two variants priced at Rs 27,600 for the 16GB and Rs 32,800 for the 32GB.
The Elife E7 sports a 13.9 cm (5.5-inch) display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 400ppi. This is equivalent of the pixel density provided by the Samsung Galaxy S4. The IPS touch screen display of the E7 is based on One Glass Solution from JDI with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 2.33mm ultra-narrow frame. The display is protected by third-generation Gorilla Glass, which is twice as durable as the second generation of Gorilla Glass.
The Elife E7 measures 150.6 x 75.0 x 9.5mm-6.2mm and weighs 150 grams.
The 3G version of the handset is powered by Qualcomm's most powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor. Similarly, the 4G LTE version will be clocked to 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon MSM8974AC processor. Both the variants of the handsets run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with a layer of Amigo 2.0 UI.
