New Delhi, March 3, 2013: UMI, a Chinese handset vendor, has launched its second Android smartphone in India, which is called as UMI X2. The phone is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system but the company has promised to upgrade it to Android 4.2 in April.
The phone has high end features such as a 5 inch IPS panel display with full HD (1920x 1080) pixels) resolution. The display also comes with Gorilla Glass 2 coating that would provide it protection from scratches. The UMI X2 runs on a 1.2 GHz MTK MT6589 quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt memory. The smartphone also supports a micro SD card of up to 32 GB.
The UMI X2 also comes with a 13 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel camera in the front. The phone has dual SIM support and comes with large 2500 mAH battery.
In terms of specification, price the UMI X2 is unbeatable and even Micromax Canvas HD 116 looks overpriced and underpowered.
