RIM has packed a 7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. This display supports four point, multi-touch and gesture support. At the back lies a 5 megapixel camera to record full HD 1080p videos. The front facing 3 megapixel camera allows video chats. PlayBook does not have a micro SD memory card slot but it comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. RIM has pushed the PlayBook 2.1 OS software update that also brings several Android apps and more fancy features.
