New Delhi: Mobile handset and peripheral maker entered the booming mobile handset business in India in 2007 and now delivers a broad range of phones for both GSM and CDMA networks.
The company recently entered the smartphone segment and now offers 12 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range. Eyeing the huge domestic mobile market, the company has chalked out plans to launch 20 more smartphones in the coming quarter. Intex says it expects to garner Rs. 1,800 crore in revenues this fiscal on the back of strong growth in smartphone sales in the country. This is an ambitious target for the company, which posted Rs. 425 crore from the segment last fiscal.
The company, at present, has 35 feature phones, 12 smartphones and three tablets in its range. In the next two months, it will add eight more smartphones in the Rs. 4,000- Rs. 20,000 range.
Priced at 21,900, the i7 is the most expensive handset from the Intex stable. The 5-inch device is equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1.5GHz quad core processor, 2GB RAM and 32 GB built-in memory (not expandable).
