New Delhi: Singapore-based Tigerair today joined hands with private lender Axis Bank to offer one-way free ticket (excluding other charges and taxes) on a return trip from Singapore for a limited period to the bank's credit and debit card holders.

The airline also announced special promotional fares as low as Rs 6,999 to customers availing the offer.

The bookings under the ‘Fly out to Singapore for free on round trip' scheme can be made from tomorrow to January 4 next year, Tigerair said in a release.

The travel, however, can be undertaken in two phases – from January 19, 2015 to March 31 and from July 6, 2015 to October 24, the airline said.

Axis Bank customers who book a round trip to visit Singapore under this scheme will only have to pay for their return ticket, it said.

“We are pleased to introduce Tigerair to Axis Bank customers who might not have flown with us before with this attractive offer. This unique promotion provides another opportunity for our friends in India to travel to Singapore even more affordably,” said Tigerair Singapore Managing Director Ho Yuen Sang.

The no-frills carrier currently operates 36 weekly flights to Singapore from Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirappalli.

Besides, Tigerair also connects to Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Perth, Taipei via Singapore.

Commenting on the tie-up, Jairam Sridharan, President – Retail Lending & Payments, Axis Bank said: “We are delighted to partner with Tigerair for this unique offering for our customers. This unique offer will further enhance customer experience and will make air travel more rewarding.”
