New Delhi, Dec 18: Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose 2.5 per cent after its unit agreed to buy the generic drugs business of US-based URL Pharma from Japan's Takeda Pharmaceutical Co.
This is Sun Pharma's second acquisition in the United States within two months after it decided to buy skin treatment firm Dusa Pharmaceuticals Inc for $230 million.
The deal value was not available since it was subject to regulatory approvals.
