New Delhi: Jasper Infotech that owns and operates India's largest online marketplace Snapdeal, has named Amit Choudhary as its senior vice-president - Corporate Finance, the New Delhi-headquartered company announced today.
Prior to joining Snapdeal, Amit Choudhary was with giant consumer goods Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he served as regional finance head for the FMCG's large and powerful organization Asia Pet Care business across 14 countries, including, Japan, Greater China and Australia, according to a press statement released bySnapdeal.
“As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, it is important for us to build a world class finance organization. Snapdeal is a pioneer in the ecommerce industry in setting financial processes and following best practices in corporate governance. We believe that with his experience and expertise Amit will propel us further on our growth trajectory with stronger, more efficient and transparent financial planning and management. We welcome him into the family”, said Kunal Bahl, co-founder and chief executive of Snapdeal.
Over his decade long career at P & G he has held key financial management positions. Before his tenure at P&G, he has worked with JPMorgan Chase Investment Bank and Arthur Andersen.
In his new role, Choudhary will be responsible for driving overall Controllership in Finance, FP&A and Taxation at the group level.

Choudhary's appointment comes less than a month after Snapdeal roped in former Bharti Airtel senior executive Anand Chandrasekaran as its chief product officer, which is perceived as the company's most high profile recruitment till date.
