New Delhi, June 23: Samsung's new mid-range device, the Galaxy Core, is now up for pre-order on the Samsung India eStore for Rs 15,350. The company will commence its shipping from July 1.
The Galaxy Core comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, VGA camera at the front, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card, and a 1,800mAh battery.
Connectivity options include, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI layer on top. The device also comes pre-loaded with apps like Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Motion UI and S Voice that have been seen on other Samsung devices as well. Priced at Rs 15,350, the Galaxy Core will see competition from the likes of LG Optimus Black, Sony Xperia J and the HTC Desire X among others.
