New Delhi, Nov 6: After launching Bhojpuri radio station on mobile a couple of months back, Radio Mirchi has now launched two new radio stations for Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, MTS, Docomo and Reliance mobile subscribers.
The two new mobile radio stations - Meethi Mirchi and Purani Jeans - are pitched as melody and retro music stations respectively. To listen to the Meethi Mirchi and Purani Jeans, subscribers of the above mentioned telcos would be required to dial a short code, 59830, to listen to the station of their choice.
Shafqat Amant Ali, famous Pakistani singer, became an RJ on Meethi Mirchi as a part of the launch of these radio stations.
Sarvmeet Singh oberoi, vice president, corporate strategy and digital, Radio Mirchi, said, "We are in talks with a couple of more telcos to extend the reach of our mobile radio stations and we also plan to add a few more music genre by march to our mobile radio stations list."
