New Delhi: Porsche, Volkswagen's premium sports car brand has launched the second generation Panamera, a four-seater sports car, starting at Rs 1.19 crore in India. Porsche India will offer the updated Panamera in five variants – Panamera Base, Panamera 4, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo and the Panamera diesel.The Panamera and Panamera 4 will use a 3.6-litre petrol V6, which produces 314 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. The Panamera GTS uses a naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 that puts out 446 PS of power and 520 Nm of torque. The Panamera Turbo utilizes a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol that churns out 527 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque! The Panamera Diesel can attain a top speed of 244 km/h, 250 horsepower and an average consumption of 6.3 l/100km. The refreshed Panamera also employs a revised gearbox, a new suspension and steering setup and new tyres that go onto new and lighter 18-inch alloys. Porsche says these enhancements have helped them get better fuel economy. The refreshed Panamera comes with a host of features as standard equipment, including electric sun roof, Porsche Communication Management plus Navigation, BOSE sound system, Park Assist with reverse camera and Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) - the latter, which is present in all models except in the entry-level V6 petrol variant.
