New Delhi: Polaroid has launched a new Android tablet for children in the United States. The tablet is called the Kids Tablet 2 and is priced at $149 (approx. Rs 9,308).
The tablet competes against the likes of HCL ME Champ, Swipe Junior and LeapPad 2.
The Kids Tablet 2 comes with a 7-inch display offering a resolution of 1024x600pixels. Along with a software upgrade to Android 4.2, the new Kids Tablet carries a dual-core 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A9 chip, 1GB of RAM, a 1,024 x 600 screen and a front camera to complement the existing rear sensor.
The kids tablet comes bundled with over 70 books and apps including ones from Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network. These include the usual sorts of drawing, music and camera apps as well as Cartoon Network, Kids Videos, and Toon Goggles video streaming apps.
The tablet is also equipped with side and rear bumpers to help protect it from accidental bumps. Moreover, you can also find a presence of a built-in parental controls and a safe web browser that are quick and easy to setup.
