New Delhi, Nov 15: State-owned oil marketing companies on Thursday slashed the price of petrol by 95 paise per litre (excluding State levies), effective from Thursday midnight, Indian Oil, said.
Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 67.24, while that in Mumbai will be Rs 73.53. Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore will now offer petrol at Rs 70.57, Rs 74.55, Rs 73.73, Rs 74.22, respectively.
"It has been decided to revise the petrol prices downward by 95 paise a litre (excluding State levies) with effect from November 16," an Indian Oil Corporation statement said.
Petrol prices were last revised on October 27 when they were raised upwards by 29 paise.
