New Delhi: Nokia's app Store has achieved 2 billion app downloads in India. Globally, the Nokia Store has seen well over 10 billion cumulative downloads.
According to Nokia, there are on average 80 million downloads per month in India. The company also says that 168 Indian developers have passed one million downloads each on Nokia's Store.
Out of the total numbers, nearly 1 billion are on the S40 and Asha platform, the Finnish phonemaker said. The Asha is the low budget range of phones while the S40 is Nokia's OS.
In terms of genre, users downloaded action games the most, followed by Adventure games and Sport games. Entertainment related apps including video and movies are at number four.
In comparison, Apple's App Store has reached over 50 billion apps download mark and Google's Play Store over 48 billion downloads.
