New Delhi: HTC and Google may soon bring the Nexus 9 tablet, the Wall Street Journal reported. Their partnership will mark a revival of the Google-HTC partnership that produced the original Nexus One device.
The Journal claims the HTC engineers have been flying to Google's Mountain View headquarters to work on the new 9-inch device.
Earlier, a patent lawsuit filed by Nvidia against Qualcomm and Samsung mentioned that "the HTC Nexus 9, expected in the third quarter of 2014, is also expected to use the Tegra K1."
The Nexus 9 is expected to make use of Nvidia's powerful Tegra K1 processor, already seen in the Nvidia Shield Tablet and Xiaomi MiPad.
The processor proved to be rather powerful, with PC titles Half Life 2, Portal and Trine 2 running on the Shield Tablet, for instance.
There's no word on a release date for the Nexus 9, but expect it to be released along with Google's Android L update.
