New Delhi, Nov 5: New Jersey Governor Chris Christie harnessed the power of Twitter and tweeted teen pop sensation Justin Bieber to ask for help with publicising the New Jersey relief fund.
In his tweet, Christie asked the super-celeb Justin Bieber to help spread the word about the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.
In turn, Bieber retweeted the governor, which resulted in over 1,300 retweets and nearly 700 favorites by Sunday night.
However, it was not just Bieber who have been requested to spread the world about the relief fund, other celebrities, including television host Piers Morgan, actor Danny DeVito and boy band Jonas Brothers, have also been asked to do the same.
Bieber has a fan base of 30 million followers on Twitter, and whatever he says or do is followed by immense media frenzy. Bieber gains around 35,000 new Twitter followers a day.
