Ahmedabad, Oct 25: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit China next month, an official press release said.
Chinese Vice Minister Al Ping paid a courtesy visit yesterday to Modi to discuss his schedule.
“In view of Gujarat's surge towards top position in global economy, Modi plans to visit China during November 2011,” an offical release from the state government said.
“Ping extended invitation to Gujarat Chief Minister for visiting China and discussed with him his schedule of visit,” it said.
Ping discussed the possibilities of partnership between Gujarat and China in various sectors of development.
Modi outlined the state government's project of constructing a huge temple where Buddha's relics will be preserved. Ping showed readiness to extend technological support in the making of the temple, the release said.
