New Delhi: Motorola will announce the launch details of Motorola Moto G smartphone on February 5. Earlier it was supposed to be hitting the Indian markets on late-January.
The budget phone is believed to be coming in India with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
Launched in the last months of 2013 in several countries, the Moto G sports a 4.5-inch screen with 1280x720p resolution, offering a pixel density of 329ppi. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB RAM. The Moto G comes in 8 GB and 16GB storage options and does not support microSD cards, though it offers 65GB of Google Drive storage.
The phone also has a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash at the back and a 1.3MP unit at the front. It comes with a 2,070mAh battery that is said to give an all-day battery life. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0.
The Motorola Moto G has water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside.
The Moto G joins other flagship smartphones HTC One, Samsung GALAXY S4, and the Sony Z Ultra with Google Play editions.
Motorola is expected to officially sell its smartphone in India via e-commerce stores. There is no information on pricing yet, but the phone is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000.
