It is good to dream about higher displacement bikes, but getting 1000cc motorcycle will not make you a good rider all of a sudden. Owing a higher displacement motorcycle is not a bad idea, but making it the first ride can lead you to bite your nails.

If you really want to own a high displacement bikes, then first opt for bikes with smaller engine. Getting a smaller displacement bike at first will help you in knowing ins and outs of motorcycling and will make you aware about the basic maintenance things.

4. Car Drivers are the Culprits behind all the Accidents

That's not correct every time. There are times when a motorcycle rider put other's life at risk. A four-wheeler rider, most of the time, is believed to be the culprit, without knowing the actual reason behind the accident.

This is one of the common misconceptions among many people but one needs to understand the actual reason why it has been added to the motorcycle. These are actually safety features that help avoid any injuries, if used properly.

ABS and Disc brakes are designed to shorten the braking distance. If one is required to put brake in emergency, the disc brakes coupled with ABS could save your life as the combination prevents skidding.
