New Delhi: Microsoft has sent out invites for an event on November 26, where it is expected to launch the first Microsoft-branded smartphone, the Lumia 535.

The invite sent by the company reads, "Five days to magic of triple 5." That, of course, is a pointer to the "5x5x5" Microsoft Lumia 535.

The company offers new Lumia smartphone single SIM and dual-SIM. The handset is priced at EUR 110 (roughly Rs. 8,400) before taxes and subsidies.

Both the single-SIM and dual-SIM variants offer the same features; except the latter features dual-SIM support.

The handset comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 220ppi. It also sports Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update.

The handset is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz alongside 1GB of RAM. Inbuilt storage includes 8GB which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). Much like other Lumia handsets, the Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 Dual SIM also get 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.

The device offers a 1905 mAh battery which is said to have a battery life for 11 hours of calls on a 2G network or 23 days on standby.

The highlight of the Lumia 535 is the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is reminiscent of the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735.

Microsoft has said the Lumia 535 will offer the same services that its high-end phones do. This means Skype video calls, Office apps and the virtual assistant Cortana should be there.
