New Delhi: Micromax has released an updated version of the A116 Canvas HD, in form of Micromax A116i, which comes pre-installed with Android 4.2 unlike A116 (runs on Android 4.1). The rest of the specifications on the A116i are the same as its predecessor.
The A116i sports a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MT6589 SoC paired with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The phone is likely to come with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, expandable memory and a 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options will include dual-SIM card support, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and as mentioned above, the device will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The price range of the smartphone varies between Rs 12,000-13,500. The company has not yet announced the phone officially.
