New Delhi: Micromax has rolled out the successor of its Canvas Doodle smartphone. The new handset, dubbed as Micromax Canvas Doodle 2, is now available on snapdeal.com for Rs 19,990.
The A240 Canvas Doodle 2, which is supposed to be Micromax's answer to Samsung's Galaxy Mega 5.8 smartphones, features an impressive 5.7-inch 1280x720p display.
The handset is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6589 chipset accompanied by 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (only 12GB available for users).
The device comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera accompanied by dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and offers a 2600mAh battery that can give up to 8 hours of talk time. It is a dual-SIM device (GSM+GSM).
Connectivity options include EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. Pre-loaded apps include M! Doodle, M! Live, M! Security, M! Zone, Hike, Spuul, Foneclay and Facebook.
The A240 Canvas Doodle 2 comes with a stylus, like the original Micromax Canvas Doodle A111. The phablet also offers features like Smart Pause, Skitch and Blow or Shake to Unlock, which were recently seen on company's flagship smartphone, the Micromax Canvas 4.
The phone also packs almost all the software customisations that were introduced as a part of Canvas 4 like Blow to unlock, vertical panorama, Smart Pause and more.
The smartphone competes against the likes of Samsung GALAXY Mega 5.8, which costs around Rs 23,000.
