New Delhi, Jul 10: Homegrown handset maker Micromax has officially launched its latest smartphone, Canvas 4, in the Indian market at Rs 17,999.
Canvas 4 is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which is expandable to 32 GB. The smartphone has a 5.0-inch HD (720x1280) display.
Micromax Canvas 4 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. Canvas 4 is powered by a 2,000mAH battery.
The smartphone has a unique feature called Flip-to-Mute, which can be used to silence the ringtone when the phone rings. Another feature called Blow-to-Unlock can be used to unlock the phone by blowing air on screen.
The phone also offers some smart features including a pop-up play like video player allowing users to simultaneously view videos while doing other tasks, automatic pausing of videos when one looks away and the ability to unlock the phone by blowing air on the screen.
Micromax Canvas 4 will come with a new cover worth Rs.3,000, that will allow the use of the phone even when the screen is covered.
