New Delhi, April 28: Price cut seems to be the new weapon in the arsenal of tablet makers in India battling tough competition. Recently, Micromax A116 Canvas HD was spotted on Spice Mobile store at a price of Rs 14399, which is a reduction of 18 per cent than its estimated price of Rs 17,499. This is the first time that the phone has seen a price drop.
However, it is not a drop in the official price of the phone. As of now few stores are selling the device at a higher price.
The device was launched on February 14 2013 at a budget price of Rs.13,999. It was first made available on Snapdeal.com and because of its good features and specification packed in such a low price, it received tremendous attention from Indina consumers and soon the device was out of stock. The device has also faced delay in shipments.
Take a cue from the growing popularity of a device with such specifications, many other companies have come out with similar smartphoens including Xolo Q800, Celkon A119, Karbonn Titanium S5, Gionee G2 , Zen 710 HD, and UMI X2.
