Greater Noida: Today Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India's biggest carmaker, unveiled the new SX4 S-CROSS, a crossover variant of SX4, at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. With SX4 S-CROSS Maruti tends to establish its presence in an all new segment.
The SX4 S-Cross, the successor to the SX4 hatchback in international markets, was revealed in March last year at the Geneva Motor Show.
On the outside, the car sports a new set of broad head lights and a new chrome front grille design. The model is equipped with features such as Suzuki's ALLGRIP 4WD system and a double sliding glass sunroof. Maruti says the S-Cross is rated 5-stars by the Euro NCAP for its crash safety protection.
The car has a sporty feel to it through its curvy edges and sleek rail-roof. On the sides there is aluminium cladding, chrome handles and wing mirrors along with turn indicators. The SX4 S CROSS is equipped with alloy wheels.
The model is set apart by its premium interiors. The seats are offered in top quality leather and even the dash-board looks neat and has modest designing. The new crossover will come in with two engine options in the form of a 1.3 liter Fiat Multi-jet Diesel engine and a 1.4 liter petrol engine.
SX4 S CROSS is offered with a four wheel drive system offering four various driving models for added safety and enhanced performance. According to estimates, the car will be lunched in around mid 2014.
