Kolkata: Two-wheeler major Bajaj Motorcycles on Friday said it was close to achieve its sales target of 2.4 million units for the current fiscal and aiming at 25 percent growth for 2014-15.
“We are aiming and hope to reach 3 million units nationally and in east also we will target higher growth for 2014-15,” Bajaj GM (east) Prasad Vaze told the agency.
The company is close to its current fiscal target of 2.4 million units, he said.
“With the new launch of Discover 125, we completed the offering in the 125cc segment targeting price-sensitive 125cc segment. We already have full range in the 100cc. With better market outlook, we hope to grow healthy,” he added.
In the 125cc segment, the demand in the market is about 1.6 lakh units per month and the new launch would cater to the larger pie in this segment, Vaze said.
