New Delhi: Lenovo, the emerging Chinese manufacturer in mobile segment is all set to merge its Mobile Business Group with Motorola. Now, Motorola will be looking after the designing, developing and manufacturing of all Lenovo smartphones.
In a press statement Lenovo said,“To create a faster,leaner business model, we will align our smartphone development production and manufacturing and better leverage the complementary strengths of Lenovo and Motorola to quickly drive growth. Lenovo's Mobile Business Group (MBG) will continue to drive the overall mobile business, but will now on Motorola to design, develop and manufacture smartphone products.”
Though Lenovo is going to merge under Mobile Business Group with Motorola, Moto and Lenovo will still remain separate companies in the market for their smartphones.
The Chinese major is all set to launch the camera-centric Vibe Shot in India, whereas Motorola will bring its third generation Moto X soon in the market.
