New Delhi: Lenovo has launched its voice-calling A series tablet, the Lenovo A8-50, at Rs 17,999. The tablet is available through company's online store and third-party online retailers.
The Lenovo A8-50 features a 8-inch HD (1280x800 pixels) screen with 10-point multitouch and offers single-SIM (Micro-SIM) support for voice calling. The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat, says Lenovo.
The device is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, similar to Lenovo A7-30 and Lenovo A7-50 (Review | Pictures) tablets.
Internal storage includes 16GB, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The tablet sports a 5-megapixel fixed focus rear camera with no LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera also onboard.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
The Lenovo A8-50 tablet packs a non-removable 4200mAh Li-Po battery, which is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of usage time and up to 20 days of standby time. It measures 136x217x8.95mm and weighs at 360 grams.
The Lenovo A8-50 is available via company's store in four colour options - Midnight Blue, White, Flamenco Red, and Canary Yellow.
