New Delhi: Lava has launched a Windows Phone handset in the market, titled Iris Win1, at Rs 4,999.
Lava Iris Win1 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) handset featuring a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) IPS display and includes sensors such as accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The device runs Windows Phone 8.1.
The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (unspecified chipset) alongside 1GB of RAM. It comes with a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and BSI+ sensor, and has a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It includes 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The handset is fueled by a 1950mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB.
With Iris Win1, Lava has joined domestic handset makers such as Celkon, Karbonn, Micromax, and Xolo, which have already launched Windows Phone handsets in the market.
