New Delhi: Xolo has officially launched its first octa-core smartphone, the Play 8X-1200, at Rs. 19,999. The company has not revealed the availability of the smartphone.
The Xolo Play 8X-1200 features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with OGS (one glass solution) and is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6592T) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The device offers 32GB of inbuilt storage which is non-expandable. It comes with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual-LED flash and PureCel Sensor, while also housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor.
The device gets its juice from a 2300mAh battery that gives up to 24 hours of talk time and up to 600 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G. Despite being launched after the Xolo 8X-1000, the Xolo Play 8X-1200 does not feature the company's new Hive UI as expected.
