The handset is powered by a superior quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 805) processor clocked at 2.5 GHz. The device houses a 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB/32 GB of internal storage capacity. However, there is no information on microSD card support. Also, the phone runs on MIUI V5 based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
It comes with 16 MP rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature and a surprisingly good 5 MP front-facing shooter. It offers LTE radio (at last), 802.11ac WiFi plus a 3,080mAh battery. As a bonus, you also get an infrared transmitter to play with the TV.

During the launch the handset maker also announced the next revision of its MIUI Android skin; version six will go live this August 16. The company also announced a smartband – the Mi Band – that can also be used to unlock your Mi phone and monitor sleep and exercise data. Xiaomi claims that it'll have a 30-day standby time, too.
As usual, the Mi 4 is affordable: 1999 yuan (£190) for the 16GB version and 2499 yuan (£235) for the 64GB unit.
