The PS4 will use Gaikai game streaming technology which will allow users to directly download games on their console. Users can play the game online as it downloads. The console will also have the ability to download games in the background, even while it is powered off. Users will also be able to upload videos online while playing games and thus share their gameplay on social networks in near real-time. The Gaikai game streaming technology will be available from next year only.
