New Delhi: Ray-Ban Shama Shades sunglasses can recharge your smartphone on solar power
US-based Indian designer Sayalee Kaluskar has come out with an inventive idea of turning a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses into an iPhone charging device by adding solar panels to them
The Ray-Ban Shama Shades are part of a student project at Miami Ad School--San Francisco.
The concept is simple: two solar panels are cut out to fit the right and left arms of the eyewear. The panels have been designed in a form that they remains as a gridded designs on the either side. While you're out in the sun, the device gathers solar energy.
When your iPhone needs some extra juice, all you need to do is take out one or both of the detachable arms and attach it to your phone via the charging port. This could be done by the Lighting connector.
Though the idea is part of school project, it is a great idea. We hope that the concept will be picked up by the brand.
