New Delhi: Godrej Industries today posted 45.91 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs. 77.70 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014-15.
It had reported net profit of Rs. 53.25 crore in the April- June period of the 2013-14 fiscal, Godrej Industries said in a BSE filing.
Net sales of the company stood at Rs. 2,290.88 crore in Q1, 2014-15, up 23.67 per cent as compared to Rs. 1,852.4 crore in the same period last fiscal.
“Despite delayed monsoon, our Agri-businesses registered sustained momentum in revenues and marked improvement in profitability... With improved market sentiments and a strong foundation in place the company is well positioned to deliver,” Godrej Industries' chairman A B Godrej said in a statement.
Overall expenses during the quarter were at Rs. 2,223.14 crore, as against Rs. 1,814.72 crore a year-ago.
