New Delhi: Fiat has rolled out the all-new Linea facelift at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new model is the first among the four models that company plans to launch this year. The company took over two years to bring the updated Linea to the Indian market as the vehicle was first unveiled way back in early 2012.
The new model comes with an all new dashboard. The AC vents and the audio system are now neatly integrated with a glossy black finish, thus enhancing the ambiance inside the car.
To give the car refreshing looks, there has been some changes to exteriors. The new Linea will come in two engine options - the 1.3-litre, 92bhp churning Multi-jet engine and the 112bhp churning 1.4-litre T-jet turbo petrol engine. Fiat has reserved the 1.4-litre mill for the Linea Classic and has made the elusive T-Jet engine more accessible. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and Fiat says that there will eventually be an automatic that will join the line-up.
The new version also gets cruise control on the top Emotion trim while all variants get automatic headlights and wipers.
The new addition by Fiat will heat up the competition in the C-segment given the recent launch of Skoda Rapid ad new Honda City.
