New Delhi: Celebrating its 10th anniversary in India, BlackBerry has launched a limited period offer for its BlackBerry Z30 smartphone, pricing it at Rs. 34,990, meaning a price of Rs 5000, from its launch price of Rs 39,990 in October 2013. The offer is valid for three months only.

The Canadian firm also announced that Z30's White-colour variant will also be up on Flipkart online retail website at the same price.

Earlier, the BlackBerry ran out of stock of its touchscreen smartphone Z10 in India in about a week's time after it slashed the handset's price by about 60 per cent to Rs 17,990 in two steps from its launch price of Rs 43,490.

"We have seen a phenomenal response to our initial promotional offer on BlackBerry Z10 and are confident we will see similar off take for the 5 inch screen BlackBerry Z30 that combines technology and style quotient in one device. This anniversary price of Rs. 34,990 will therefore ensure that consumers are able to experience the latest and best technology at an attractive cost," said stated Hitesh Shah - Director, Channel Sales, BlackBerry India.

Regarding specifications, the Z30 comes with a a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution, translating to a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with Adreno 320 GPU.

The device offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB). The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The new phablet runs BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2, which includes refinements and new features when compared to the BlackBerry Z10 that was launched earlier this year. The device gets its juice from a 2880mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 25 hours of talktime - there is no word on standby time.

The BlackBerry Z30 features four stereo speakers to provide 'BlackBerry Natural Sound' and also comes with BlackBerry Paratek Antennae that is claimed to deliver faster data transfers.
