Washington: BlackBerry CEO John Chen believes that an iPhone can't even last for a day, leaving Apple fanboys constantly on the lookout for power outlets through which they can charge up their phones again.
Chen was speaking at the Oasis Montgomery Summit where he was asked about his thoughts on the popularity of the iPhone. He said, “I call you guys wall huggers.”
There is, of course, truth in this. On paper, the iPhone 5S has a 1560mAh battery as opposed to the 1,800mAh found on the BlackBerry Z10. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with a battery life of 2,600mAh.
An iPhone can be made to last up to a week if its brightness is turned all the way down, disconnected from cellular networks and all power hungry apps are killed.
However, Chen's mocking of a brand to which all other gadget makers compare themselves, seems to be out of context, as evidently everyone is going for an iPhone even if it does have a low battery.
