New Delhi: The official website of Apple, which first claimed to release iPhone 6 in India on September 26 and later pushed it to October 17, has now removed the launch date of the smartphone leaving everyone wondering if it will take longer for the device to come to India.
The exact reason behind the decision is not yet known but reports suggested that that company is facing production issues with the iPhone 6 Plus causing it to release the phone in limited quantities.
The company had recently unveiled iPhone 6 and a larger iPhone called the iPhone 6 Plus. The two new devices were slated to be available in India starting October 17, according to Apple's India website.
The launch of two new smartphones also marked the entry of Apple to the big-screen smartphone arena, sporting 4.7- and 5.5-inch screens respectively.
Pre-orders for the phone started on September 12 in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico and Singapore. The shipping will begin after September 19.
Apple had also listed September 26 as the iPhone 6's availability date in China. But later, it removed the date triggering speculations that the launch will be delayed further.
