New Delhi: Intex has launched a new budget smartphone, the Aqua Dream, in India at Rs 10,390. There is no official word on the availability details of the Intex Aqua Dream.
Intex Aqua Dream is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and offers a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The handset is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6592M) processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Inbuilt storage includes 8GB, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The camera features scene detection, face recognition, low light enhancement, panorama mode, geo-tagging, burst shot, smile shot, and HDR options.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
The device packs sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
The handset is fuelled by a 2300mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. It is listed in White, Black, and Champagne colours.
