New Delhi, July 16: Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer iBerry, better known for its tablet computers, has started pre-booking of its smartphone iBerry Auxus Nuclea N1 in India. The first smartphone by iberry, Auxus Nuclea N1 is now available through online retailer, eBay at a price point of Rs. 15,990 under an offer. The device cost Rs 18,000, after the promotional offer ends.

The Auxus Nuclea N1 is a 5 inch phablet with a full HD, 1080p resolution display featuring one glass and active matrix technology. The iBerry Nuclea N1 is the first ever low cost Android smartphone to incorporate Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 protective surface that adds durability and scratch resistance while reducing the overall weight of the device as well.

The Nuclea N1 also comes with a massive 8 megapixel front facing camera and a 13 megapixel backlit sensor based rear camera in a 9.6 mm slim casing. The company has added a number of features to the camera including Burst mode, Smile/face detection, HDR, Panorama, Geo-tagging, Anti-flicker and full HD video recording capability.

Auxus Nuclea N1 is also equipped with active matrix display. This means each pixel of the display is individually controlled to provide a sharp image at wide viewing angle, so that users can have a different and unique viewing experience.

The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5GHz Mediatek MT6589T quad-core processor with VR SGX 544MP GPU clocked at 357MHz for enhancing gaming experience.

It has an internal storage of 4 GB with up to 64 GB of expandable memory via micro SD cards.

It also comes bundled with four different colour panels. Connectivity options of Nuclea N1 include dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) with one SIM supporting 3G and the other one, 2G. It has a beefy 2,800mAh battery which the company claims to deliver a talktime of 12 hours and a standby time of 250 hours.

"Orders received till 13th Jul 4.00pm will be dispatched as per the previous delivery schedule, i.e., 24th July 2013. Any orders received after 13th July 4.00pm, delivery starts on 1st Aug 2013," according to ebay.

Based on the hardware specification, the iBerry Nuclea N1 appears to be the most exciting Android smartphone priced at Rs 15,990 beating devices from competing brands like Micromax, Spice and even Samsung hands down.
