New Delhi: Huawei has launched its latest phablet, the Ascend GX1, in China at CNY 1590 (approximately Rs. 16,000).
Ascend GX1 is a dual-SIM handset that comes with a 6-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with minimalistic bezels giving it what the company claims to be a screen-to-body ratio of 80.5 per cent.
The handset is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The device features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Inbuilt storage includes 8GB which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS/ A-GPS. The handset is backed by 3500mAh battery, which is rated to deliver a dual-SIM standby time of up to 198 hours. It measures 161x84.5x9.2mm, and weighs 173 grams.
Last week, the company launched the larger version of its Honor 6 smartphone, the Honor 6 Plus, in China.
