New Delhi, June 5: After more than four months of its global unveiling at Taiwan in late January this year, HTC has finally launched its entry-level dual-SIM smartphone, the HTC Desire U, in the Indian market for Rs 13,499. Online retailer Flipkart is also giving 5 per cent discount on the list price.
The Desire U comes with a single core 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4-inch 480 x 800 Super LCD capacitive touchscreen, and 4GB of internal storage. The HTC Desire U is a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) phone that runs Android 4.0 ICS operating system.
It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. The phone has an internal storage of 4GB, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card. The smartphone comes with a beefy 1650 mAh Li-ion battery. The phone is available in Polar White colour.
The device has a micro-drilled cover art on the back panel. The HTC logo is engraved in the centre and like most other HTC device, it features Beats Audio integration. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 820.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and GPS.
