Don't rush to change the organization culture




As a great leader Dhoni did not rush through with any drastic change in personnel in team culture. After establishing his credibility he deftly dealt with the issues of performance management.

A lesson for managers here! As a manager, you make lots of promise regarding performance and change that set the expectations with the BOD, shareholders, your management team, and the workforce. Your credibility soars when expectations are met, but you get replaced when the performance falls short.

Although you may be having the ability to hire, fire, promote and demote people with relatively little effort. But changing an entrenched culture is the toughest task you will face. To do so, you must win the hearts and minds of the people you work with, and that takes persuasion.
