New Delhi: The government may start offering 13 online services on the e-biz portal. As per the reports all the 13 services will be available on a single-window platform by March 31 as part of a plan to make business in India easier.
A certificate of incorporation, a permanent account number, a tax deduction account number and access to employee provident fund services will be available on the e-biz portal.
This will make the process quick and lower the cost of doing business in the country, a government official said.
The 24x7 single-window portal providing these business and investment-related approvals will include an integrated payment gateway.
The Modi government aims to make the country an investment destination and lift India's ranking in the World Bank's latest ease of doing business reports, where the country is placed 142 out of 180 nations.
In the Union budget in July, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced integration of all services of central government.
The Andhra Pradesh government last year launched 13 services under its single-window clearance policy for new industrial units on the e-biz portal.
The measures to ease doing business are being introduced as part of the govt's ‘Make in India' strategy to encourage domestic manufacturing and FDI inflow.
