New Delhi: Now you can buy Nexus 5, the official Google Android phone, and the new Nexus 7 with FullHD screen in India. They are available on Google Play store in India.
The Nexus 5 – available in 16 GB as of now – is selling for Rs Rs 29,999, Rs 1000 more than what Google has quoted for the Indian market. The Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7 costs Rs 20,999 for the unit with 16GB internal storage and Rs 23,999 for the unit with 32GB internal storage.
The Nexus 7 is available in three variants. The 16 GB version, which runs only on wi-fi, costs Rs 20,999. The LTE version costs Rs 27,999.
The phones are also available at LG stores in both black and white colours.
The Nexus 5 has a 5-inch full HD display and an 8 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation. The new lens on the Nexus 5 is touted to capture more light for brighter night and sharper action shots. Nexus 5 is the first device to run KitKat OS, the latest version of Google's Android operating system.
The handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 clockd at 2.3 GHz, the Nexus 5 has 2GB RAM, and is packced with a 2300mAh battery.
Both Nexus 5 and the new Nexus 7 tablets are also guaranteed regular updates for at least 18 months without delay whenever Google implements new features in Android.
